Owl I Want For Christmas Is You

Owl I Want For Christmas Is You

I made this card in October and I entered it for the Lawn Fawn and Two Peas In A Bucket challenge. I thought I would share it since I never made a blog post about it. ūüôā

Owl I Want For Christmas Is You

I started out with a bamboo green card stock from The Paper Company cut to a standard size card with the flap on the side. To that I layered some red card stock and then layered the green chevron paper from Lawn Fawn’s Fa-la-la patterned paper pack. For the top panel, I stamped the¬†Polaroid¬†image from Say Cheese on the O Christmas Tree patterned paper from the same Fa-la-la paper pack. I distressed the¬†Polaroid¬†with some Dessert Sand ink from Memento. For the actual picture in the Polaroid, I distressed the background with some Summer Sky ink from Memento on the entire square and some Broken China Distress ink for a darker effect on the sides. Then I stamped the Snowflake stamp from Imaginisce in Bahama Blue ink from Memento and accented each snowflake with some blue stickles. For the owl, I used Lawn Fawn’s Winter Owl set. I stamped the owl on some plain white card stock and colored it in with Copics. I paper pieced the scarf with the same green chevron paper from the Fa-la-la paper pack by Lawn Fawn. I used googly eyes for fun. For the sentiment, I used the puny sentiment from the same Winter Owl set. I stamped the each word individually to properly space it between three lines in Lady Bug and Cottage Ivy inks from Memento. I also stamped the mini heart border. I placed some peppermint single cord from Lawn Fawn under the die cut image for added accent.

For this card, I used a red card stock from The Paper Company and layered it with a plain green computer paper. For the top layer, I stamped the bird from Critters in the Forest in diagonal lines. I colored the birds in red and green Bic Mark It markers alternately. I used some green and red stickles to accent their feathers. I made a custom sentiment using Claire’s ABCs. To finish the card, the distressed the edges of the front panel with some Dessert Sand ink from Memento and I rounded the corners.

I Heart You

I Heart You I H U

On a standard size kraft card stock from The Paper Company, I stamped the medium chevron pattern from the Chevron Backdrops set alternately in Rhubarb Stalk and Paris Dusk inks from Memento. I adhered the front panel on a Bazzill card stock in Nightmist, then I stamped an alphabet block using Claire’s ABC and highlighted the I and U in Rhubarb Stalk. For the heart, i punched out one with red card stock. I accented the heart with some red stickles. To finish the card, I used the mini heart border from the Winter Owl set.

I used brown card stock from The Paper Studio for this standard size card and layered it with kraft card stock also from The Paper Studio. For the picture, I stamped the hedgehog, tree branch, bird, and firefly from Critters in the Forest on white cardstock. After coloring and cuting, I adhered it on water color paper which I distressed with Tim Holtz distress ink in Broken China to look like a sky. I sat the 2 birds on top of the hedgehog and the hedgehog on to the branch. I stuck the firefly to look like it was flying around. I placed the blue distressed paper under the kraft card stock where I made a circle window. I stamped the sentiment “Thanks Friend” from the same critter set.

To finish the card, I drew white faux stitching lines with a Sakura white gel pen.

I Pine For You

I used a cream card stock from The Paper Company for this standard size card. I used the fox from Critters in the Forest. To make a second fox facing the other direction, I mirror stamped and traced the outline with a black marker. I colored both foxes – one in a darker brown and the other in a lighter brown with Bic Mark It Markers. ¬†I also stamped 2 pine trees from the same set to match the sentiment I used – “I Pine For You”. To finish the card, I punched out a heart and placed it in between the lowers, for extra accent, i added red stickles to the heart.

Once Upon A Time

Once Upon A Time

Once Upon A Time

For this whimsical birthday card, I used a dark cream card stock from The Paper Company for the base of this standard size card. I layered it with some Bazzill Plum Pudding card stock. I created a story using the Claire’s ABC. I used the castle and the frog prince from Critters Ever After to add visuals to my story. I cut and colored the stamped images with my Bic Mark It Markers.

On the inside, I stamped other sentiments from the set – make a wish & may all your dreams come true. To finish the card, I rounded the corners.

Make A Wish

Make A Wish

Make A Wish

I used some blue card stock as a base for this 9×4 card and a cream card stock from The Paper Company for the top layer. For this card, I exclusively used the Critters Ever After set. I personally love this set because of the images that are super cute and the very versatile sentiments.

I wanted to create a “it’s your birthday so make a wish” card and I think this set is perfect for this. I stamped out the dragon, unicorn and castle on white card stock and colored them in with Bic Mark It markers. I stuck the cut out images on the cream card stock layer. Instead of fire coming from the dragon, I used the clustered stars in the set for a more whimsical touch. I stamped the sentiment “make a wish” with stars as if it were also coming from the dragon’s mouth. I adorned the dragon with one of the tiaras from Hats Off To You. At the bottom of the card, to complete the sentiment I stamped another sentiment from the set “may all your dreams come true”.

To finish the card, the stamped each cormer with the clustered star stamp and drew white faux stitching lines with a Sakura white gel pen.
