Wishing You The Most Beautiful Day

Hi everyone. I’m back with a card using supplies from the Hero Arts My Monthly Hero box. When I saw the stamp and die included, I fell in love and ordered it right away. We can never have too much flower stamps. Plus the sentiments are amazing.

Here is my card —

Wishing You The Most Beautiful Day

I started this card with a piece of Neenah Solar White cardstock and I stamped the flower and leaf images from the set with Versafine Onyx black ink using some masking techniques to make it look realisitc. I used shades of purple/violet to color the flowers and shades of green to color the leaves from the Prismacolor pencil set.

For the sentiment, I stamped it with the same black ink and allowed it to dry. I cut the panel using the largest stitched rectangle from My Favorite Things to frame the design. I attached the stitched panel on to a 4 Bar  cardbase of Hero Arts layering paper. To finish the card, I embellished with some black gems from Hero Arts.

That’s it for this card.

This card is an entry for the Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge. The theme for this week is FLOWERS.

Hi everyone! I’m here today with a  card for the Casology Challenge this week.

Week 171 - Vehicle

The Cue Word this week is vehicle. Here is my card —

IMG_7041

I am not really into clean and simple cards – honestly I don’t know my style yet but I like trying different ones and just being quite diverse. I definitely know that I am a modern card maker. I don’t fancy the vintage look that much.

With this card, the started with smooth white card stock from Simon Says Stamp. I masked the sky and grassy hills and colored it in with distress inks. I used Broken China for the sky and Mowed Lawn for the grassy hill. For the vehicle image, I used the Hero Arts Father’s Day set (I think it’s discontinued). There was a truck image with a heart and I loved it. I stamped additional hearts from Lawn Fawn’s Milo’s ABC to have some hearts falling of the truck. I colored the images with a combination of Copic and Spectrum Noir  markers. For the sentiment, I used a stamp from Simon Says Stamp in Versafine onyx black ink. I cut the entire panel from the My Favorite Things Stitched Rectangle Stax and adhered that panel on to another white card base.

That’s it for this card. I will update this post later with the supply list.

Thanks for reading.

Celebrate Today, and Everyday

Hi everyone! I’m here today with a new card using some Paper Smooches products.

Here is my card —

Celebrate Today and Everyday

I started this card with a Core’dinations yellow card base which I cut to a 4 1/4 x 4 1/4 card. Then I cut a piece of Neenah Solar white to 4×4 to be the front panel. For the images, I used some free digi images from the Paper Smooches blog. I colored the feathers with Copic markers (check the supply list for all the colors I used).

For the border strip, I cut the scallop punch from American Crafts on Simon Says Stamp Smoke card stock. I adhered that to the left side of the front panel. On top of the strip, I placed a bunch of feathers, which I tied with some black twine from Doodlebug, I finished the bow with a gem Hero Arts.

For the sentiment, I used the Pretty Phrases from Paper Smooches and embossed it on Black Licorice card stock from Bazzil.

To finish the card, I added some stitch lines on the setiment strip and added more gems from Hero Arts around the card.

That’s it for this card. Thank you for reading.

SMILE – It’s Your Birthday

Hi everyone. I’m back with a new card for you today – well not really a new card. I made this card a few months ago and life happened before I was able to post this. So here I am today sharing this card.

Here is the card —

Smile Its Your Birthday

I started this card with a card base from Core’dinations. I cut the largest rectangle from the MFT Stitched Rectangle Stax from Neenah Solar White card stock. I created a circle template and colored it in using different colors of Tim Holtz Distress inks to create a rainbow ink blended effect.

For the sentiment, I cut the smile die cut from Little Yellow Bicycle from Bazzil Black Licorice card stock. To make it look like an embellishment, I added some Wink of Stella to the entire word and then finished it off with Glossy Accents. After it dried, it looked like an enamel accent which I really liked. I will definitely do that more often. For the second sentiment, I spelled out the words using Lawn Fawn’s Milo’s ABC and embossed it with white embossing powder on black card stock.

To finish the card, I added some black enamel dots from My Mind’s Eye to give it a finished look.

That’s it for this card.

I really feel productive and hopefully this continues until next year. Four months in a craft funk is no joke. I’m pretty excited to be creating again – stress free.

Live In The Sunshine

Color-of-Fun-638x300-Blog-Hop

Hi everyone! I’m here today with a card with a product from The Color of Fun release by Simon Says Stamp. I was lucky enough to receive a product early to make cards with and let me tell you this release is awesome.

I got the One With Nature stamp set and I have already made 4 cards which I will share everyday this week. I was quite skeptical about this set, but if you really look beneath the stamp, you will see endless possibilities.

Here is my card —

Live In the Sunshine

I wanted to make a frame using one of the leaves in the stamp and this was what came from it. I knew I wanted to color and as much as I want to be amazing using Copics, I really have not mastered it. I definitely need practice (the first couple attempts of this card will show you). So I decided  to try something I’ve never used before – color pencils. I have a 12 piece Prismacolor set that I have never used and I decided to try it. To my surprise, I found it very easy and and awesome. I used two kinds of green pencils and the shading was effortless.

After, coloring my frame, I was stuck for a couple hours not knowing where and how to put my sentiment. Then eventually it hit me to make a shaker panel with the frame I just made.  I stamped the sentiment on a separate piece of paper and put it inside the shaker panel. For the sequins, I used Sparkling Clear and Mossy Green from Pretty Pink Posh.

That’s it for this card. Thanks for reading

I’ll be back tomorrow with another card using this stamp set.
