Coffee with Girlfriends

Hi everyone. I’m here with a card for the 2017 Summer Coffee Lovers Bloghop.

I wasn’t quite sure how to go about making a summer themed coffee card. Normally with fall and winter it is more predictable, so I decided to just go ahead and use summer colors.

Here is my card –

I started this card with with a panel of Neenah Solar White card stock which I cut with the My Favorite Things Stitched Rectangle Stax. I used the coffee cup from the PaperTrey Ink stamp Heart-2-Heart #1 and colored it in with Copic markers. For the cozy, I used 6×6 patterned papers from Lawn Fawn’s Hello Sunshine and paper pieced it to the coffee cup. I arranged the cups at the center of the stitched panel.

For the sentiment, I used one from the same Heart-2-Heart set from PTI. I stamped it with Versafine Onyx Black and heat embossed it with clear embossing powder. For the card base, I covered the base with a patterned paper from Lawn Fawn’s Daphne’s Closet and attached the smaller panel on top with foam tape.

I am also entering this card for the Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge – Anything Goes

Celebrate Today, and Everyday

Hi everyone! I’m here today with a new card using some Paper Smooches products.

Here is my card —

Celebrate Today and Everyday

I started this card with a Core’dinations yellow card base which I cut to a 4 1/4 x 4 1/4 card. Then I cut a piece of Neenah Solar white to 4×4 to be the front panel. For the images, I used some free digi images from the Paper Smooches blog. I colored the feathers with Copic markers (check the supply list for all the colors I used).

For the border strip, I cut the scallop punch from American Crafts on Simon Says Stamp Smoke card stock. I adhered that to the left side of the front panel. On top of the strip, I placed a bunch of feathers, which I tied with some black twine from Doodlebug, I finished the bow with a gem Hero Arts.

For the sentiment, I used the Pretty Phrases from Paper Smooches and embossed it on Black Licorice card stock from Bazzil.

To finish the card, I added some stitch lines on the setiment strip and added more gems from Hero Arts around the card.

That’s it for this card. Thank you for reading.

Happy Birthday! (Lawn Fawn Critters)

Hi everyone! I’m here today with a birthday card I made using Lawn Fawn stamps.

Here is my card –

Happy Birthday Critters

(I’m sorry for the picture quality but it was quite dark and gloomy when I took this picture and I had to do a lot of editing to make this picture bright.)

I started this card with a 4 bar Neenah Solar White card base. I attached the piece of patterned paper with the same size as the card base from the Lawn Fawn Daphne’s Closet paper collection. For the front panel, I stamped various critters from different Lawn Fawn Stamps. I used the masking technique to make the critters look like they are behind and/or in front of each other. When I finished stamping, I colored the images with Copic markers. For the sentiment, I stamped the birthday sentiment from Year 1 using Versafine Onyx black ink and clear embossing powder.

I centered the biggest stitched rectangle die from My Favorite Things on the image to create the stitched panel. To finish the card, I adhered the panel to base with foam tape and highlighted the party hats with the Zig Clear Wink of Stella glitter brush.

This card is an entry for the Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge. The theme for this week is Anything Goes.

I Only Have Eyes For You

Hi everyone!

Today I’m sharing a card for the Create A Smile March Guest Designer Call.

Guest Designer Call

The guest call will run until February 13 so if you’re interested, go and check it out here.

For this card, I decided to use one of the freebies they have on their website. Here is my card —

IMG_5084

Recently I have been enjoying using digital stamps. I used a Newton’s Nook freebie and I purchased some from Gerda Steiner and now I’m using another freebie from Create A Smile. I will always love clear stamps and I will never stop using them, but digi’s are pretty cool to use once in a while.

I started this card with a panel of Neenah Solar White card stock that measures 5 x 3 3/4 inches. I wanted to color some embossing paste so I used Audrey Blue and Doll Pink from Simon Says Stamp to color some white embossing paste from Wendy Vecchi. I used a chevron stencil from Heidi Swapp and did alternate colors of the paste.

For the focal panel, I cut the image from the Lawn Fawn Stitched Journaling card but I wanted the top to have a straight edge but still keep the stitched detail – so I used the straight border die from the Stitched Borders 2 from Pretty Pink Posh to cut the top part.

I colored the bird with some Copic markers. I will mention the colors in the supply list below. For the sentiment, I was struck with the bird’s big eyes so I wanted to use a puny sentiment related to that. I stamped the sentiment from the Only Have Eyes for you set from Simon Says Stamp with Versafine Onyx black ink and embossed it with clear embossing powder.

To finish the card, I adhered the stitched panel to the chevron piece and I adhered the chevron panel to a standard size card from Neenah Solar White. I also added  Glossy Accents to the eyes of the bird and his stomach. I used enamel dots from My Mind’s Eye to tie in all the colors together.

That’s it for this card.

Love You Dearly

Hi everyone. I’m here today with a card using a rubber stamp from Stampendous and a Paper Smooches sentiment stamp.

Before we get to the card making, I just wanted to announce that I will be starting my holiday card series on November 15. Each card will have companion video to go along with it. I will also have giveaways through out the card series. I will release more details as the date gets closer. I hope you come and join the fun.

Now for this card, I wanted to make a card for a friend who is going through something and I thought the flowers and bright colors will cheer her up.

Here is my card —

Love You Dearly

I started this card with Neenah Solar White card stock cut to a standard size landscape card. For the background, I stamped the top portion of the card with the Zinnia stamp from Stampendous with Versafine Onyx Black ink and clear embossed it. For the sentiment, I stamped a sentiment from the Pretty Phrases set from Paper Smooches with the same Versafine ink and also clear embossed it for more dimension. I attached a strip of some Shallows layering paper from Hero Arts to separate the background from the sentiment area. I covered the strip with some Clear Wink of Stella glitter brush for some shine.

For the flower focal image, I stamped the Zinnia on Neenah Solar White card stock and colored it in with Copics. I will have the colors below but I wanted to use orange, blue and yellow tones on the flower. After coloring, I fussy cut the flower and colored the edges with a black marker. I adhered the flower with foam tape. To finish the card, I colored the entire flower with the Clear Wink of Stella glitter brush for sparkle and shine.

This card is an entry for the current Paper Smooches Sparks challenge theme  – ANTHING GOES.

Anything Goes PSS FINAL

This is also an entry for the Runway Inspired Challenge featuring Oscar de la Renta. Here is the fashion inspiration.

Thanks Ever So Much

Hi everyone! I’m here with a card for the Paper Smooches Sparks Challenge.

SPARKS BADGE

This week, the challenge theme is PICTURE PERFECT based on this inspiration picture.

October2014

Here is my card —

Thanks Ever So Much

I started this card with a standard size card with the fold on top using Neenah Desert Storm card stock. I adhered a panel of patterned paper from Basic Grey’s Fresh Cuts 6×6 pad. I also cut a strip of patterned paper from the same Fresh Cuts pad to adhere to the left side of the card.

For the flowers, I was looking at the free digi section of the Paper Smooches website and I fell in love with these flowers. I immediately printed them and colored them in with various colors of Copic Markers. I attached them with foam tape and accented the center with a clear gem from Hero Arts.

For the sentiment, I used the Pretty Phrases stamp set and stamped it with Versafine Onyx Black ink and clear embossed it for a raised finish.

To finish the card, I adhered some coordinating colors of sequins from Pretty Pink Posh.

Owl I Want For Christmas Is You

Owl I Want For Christmas Is You

I made this card in October and I entered it for the Lawn Fawn and Two Peas In A Bucket challenge. I thought I would share it since I never made a blog post about it. 🙂

Owl I Want For Christmas Is You

I started out with a bamboo green card stock from The Paper Company cut to a standard size card with the flap on the side. To that I layered some red card stock and then layered the green chevron paper from Lawn Fawn’s Fa-la-la patterned paper pack. For the top panel, I stamped the Polaroid image from Say Cheese on the O Christmas Tree patterned paper from the same Fa-la-la paper pack. I distressed the Polaroid with some Dessert Sand ink from Memento. For the actual picture in the Polaroid, I distressed the background with some Summer Sky ink from Memento on the entire square and some Broken China Distress ink for a darker effect on the sides. Then I stamped the Snowflake stamp from Imaginisce in Bahama Blue ink from Memento and accented each snowflake with some blue stickles. For the owl, I used Lawn Fawn’s Winter Owl set. I stamped the owl on some plain white card stock and colored it in with Copics. I paper pieced the scarf with the same green chevron paper from the Fa-la-la paper pack by Lawn Fawn. I used googly eyes for fun. For the sentiment, I used the puny sentiment from the same Winter Owl set. I stamped the each word individually to properly space it between three lines in Lady Bug and Cottage Ivy inks from Memento. I also stamped the mini heart border. I placed some peppermint single cord from Lawn Fawn under the die cut image for added accent.
