Hi everyone! I’m here today with card using supplies from the Simon Says Stamp July Card Kit. The theme of the kit is mail/post office oriented and is mostly red and blue. I wanted to create a card that didn’t use any of the envelopes and had a pastel color theme.
This card is an entry for the current Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge.
The theme for this challenge is SPOTS AND DOTS.
Here is my card —
I started this card with panel of Neenah Solar White card stock that measures 5 1/4 x 4 inches. I used the circle border stamp from the SSS Sending Happy Thoughts set. I stamped it vertically in different rainbow colors from Hero Arts and Memento (The list of colors will be in the supply list below.)
For the sentiment, I stamped it in VersaMark and embossed with with clear embossing powder. With a sponge dauber and the Hero Arts Mint Julep ink, I sponged in the color to reveal the embossed sentiment. I also took a 1/4 inch strip of Pool Layering Paper from Hero Arts and adhered it in between the stamped dots and the sentiment. I adhered the panel to a standard size landscape card from some Pool Layering Paper.
To finish the card, I accented the strip with some Wink of Stella Clear glitter brush and embellished the sentiment with some sequins from Pretty Pink Posh.
I made a video for this card, you can watch it here or on You Tube.
That’s it for this card.

Hi everyone! I’m here today with an entry for the Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge.
The theme for this challenge is SHAKE IT! I was pretty excited because I have been enjoying making shaker cards. This is just my 3rd shaker card and definitely not my last.
Here is my card —
I started with the process of making the shaker part of the card. I used the Sizzix Majestic Labels #2 and cut a label. I stamped my sentiment using a Christmas sentiment from Simon Says Stamp and replaced part of the sentiment with a Hero Arts birthday stamp. I started with a sentiment from the Big Holiday Wishes stamp from Simon Says Stamp. I stamped each line in a different color. When I got the the holiday part, I used the a birthday stamp from the It’s Your Day stamp set from Hero Arts. I used 4 different colors from Memento and Hero Arts. Then I made the foam part. I used the same size die as the base and a smaller one to create a foam frame. I adhered that with Glossy Accents. Then I put in my sequins. All the sequins I used are from Pretty Pink Posh. Then I cut an acetate piece the same size as the base and adhered it on top. To finish the shaker panel, I cut a piece of patterned from Lawn Fawn’s Hello Sunshine paper pack the same way I cut the foam frame. Then I adhered it to the top using Glossy Accents.
For the card base, I used the Blush Layering papers in Carnation from Hero Arts cut to a top folding standard size card. I stamped the circle border stamp from the Thinking of You stamp set from Simon Says Stamp in Hero Arts Ultra Pink ink. Then I attached the shaker panel towards the top of the card. To finish, I put some May Arts Natural Twine for added interest.
Please find below the tools and supplies I used to make this card.
That’s it for this card. Thanks for reading!
Hi everyone! Today I’m here with a card using the supplies from the Simon Says Stamp April 2014 Card Kit. This kit is packed with amazing things. The stamp set has a light bulb image and many matching sentiments. The papers from Simple Stories are also very bold and pretty.
You can purchase the kit on its own for 24.95 or be a card kit subscriber and pay 19.95 per month for each kit.
I wanted to enter this card for the Retro Sketches Challenge Blog but I was a couple of days late. I still decided to continue making the card because I thought it was a pretty unique sketch. Here is the sketch from the challenge that I used —
Here is my card —
I started the card by trying to make a template with triangles. I really didn’t have a formula but I just drew diagonal lines and I ended up with 4 triangles. The second and bottom one were 1 1/2 inches wide and I used that for my patterned paper. I chose 2 floral papers from the Simple Stories and cut and adhered them. For the center triangle, I knew I wanted to stamp something. I used the light bulb stamp and the coordinating shadow stamp. I used Hero Arts Lemon Yellow for the shadow and Memento Tuxedo Black ink for the bulb. Then I decided to create a pattern of light bulbs just using the bulb image without the shadow to leave that one image as the focal point.
For the sentiment, I used 2 stamps from the set. I mounted them side by side and stamped it on Memento Tuxedo Black ink.
To finish the card, I used some Elmer’s Gold Glitter Glue on the heart and adhered some wood veneer shapes from Freckled Fawn.
You can watch the video below or on YouTube to watch all the specifics on how I made card —

2. Hero Arts Shadow Ink in Lemon Yellow
3. Memento Tuxedo Black ink

That’s it for this card. Thanks for reading and watching!
