SSS October Kit Card #1 – Thank You

Hi everyone. Sorry for the delay. I have been trying to juggle real life with some “me crafting time”. Unfortunately real life has won — again. But I’m back and hopefully for a consistent round of blogging.

I haven’t blogged about any cards for the October Kit and have a few lined-up, so it will spill over until the first few days of November and then I will move on to the November kit.

This card is my first card for the October Kit and is also an entry for the Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge. The theme is ANYTHING GOES.

This will also be an entry for the Lawnscaping Challenge. The theme for this challenge is PINTEREST INSPIRED.

Challenge 68

I was on Pinterest and I saw this wonderful cherry blossom piece of art long before I saw the SSS October Kit. Then when I saw the kit and saw the stamp set, I was amazed. I know that the entire kit is very fall inspired but i couldn’t let the cherry blossom idea slip away. Click here for the pin.

So here is my very spring card —-

Thank You Cherry Blossom

I started this card with Neenah Dessert storm card stock cut to a standard size card. Using some Bazzill Marshmallow card stock as a top panel, I stamped the branch in Memento Rich Cocoa ink. Then I stamped the smaller flower from the set with some Memento Rose Bud ink. That created the cherry blossom tree I was imagining, For the sentiment, I selectively stamped it to only say “thank you” instead of “a tweet thank you”. I used some green patterned paper from Lawn Fawn’s Into the Woods collection that came in the kit for the grass landscape. I freehanded the curves and made two panels to layer. Finally to finish the card, I looked into my sequin stash and pulled matching green and pink sequins.

Thats it for this card. Thanks for reading 🙂
