My second card for the day is also for the CASology Challenge. I am using the same CUE CARD which is MUSIC. This was the first card I made, so I decided to share and enter it as well.

Week 146 - Music

Here is my card —

You Are My Sunshine

I started this card with some Neenah Solar white card stock and I die cut the largest stitched rectangle from My Favorite Things. I stamped the sentiment using Lawn Fawn’s Milo’s ABC and Simon Says Stamp Color and Sunshine using Versafine Onyx Black ink and Hero Arts shadow ink in Butter Bar. For the sun, I die cut a sun from the You & Me set from Sizzix with a paper from the Doodlebug Lemonade Stand 6×6 paper pack.

I adhered the panel on a piece of Simon Says Stamp Sunshine cards stock that is a standard size top folding card. To finish the card, I used some Pretty Pink Posh sequins. I also covered the sun with some clear Wink of Stella pen and covered with with Glossy Accents.

That’s it for this card. For a complete list of the all the products and tools I used, check out the supply list below.

DO RE MI-ssing You

Hi everyone! I’m here today with a card for the CAS-ology Challenge. The CUE CARD for this week is MUSIC.

Week 146 - Music

I was trying to think of a way to interpret music and I had a “You Are My Sunshine” card at back of my head. But I definitely wanted to try and think outside the box. Then an idea hit me, and I think this could be one of my favorite card I’ve made. The card came out exactly how I imagined it which is rare for me. It may not be clean and simple with a lot of white space, but i think grey is pretty close. 🙂

Here is my card —

DO RE MIssing You

I die cut the letters / words DO, RE, MISSING, and YOU from different colors using the My Favorite Things Bright Lights Alphabet. I wanted to create a pun on words so I created a space between MI and ssing. For an accent image, I didn’t have any large music note stamp or die cut, so I found a clip art online and cut it. I emembellishedhe note with some Clear Wink of Stella pen and then layered with Glossy Accents.

For the card base, I used a standard size top folding card in Simon Says Stamp Smoke card stock. I stamped the music notes stamp from the Teeny Tiny Backdrops from Lawn Fawn is Hero Arts Soft Granite ink.

That’s it for this card.

New Job? Yay

Hi everyone! I’m here today with a card I made for a friend who landed a new job recently. I wasn’t sure how I was going to make this card since I really didn’t have any job related stamps. As I was looking through my stamps, the To Thine Own Shelf stamp from Simon Says Stamp really stood out with some images I could use. So I started with that and the idea just went in different directions from there. I also used other stamp sets from Simon Says Stamp and Lawn Fawn.

Here is my card —

New Job Yay

I started this card with a standard card base with the fold on top from some Simon Says Stamp 120 lb white card stock. I stamped the images related to a workplace from the To Thine Own Shelf set and and I also stamped some sentiments from there and from other SSS sets. For the word “new job”, I didn’t have any so I used Lawn Fawn’s Milo’s ABC which is my favorite alphabet stamp ever. I stamped all images ans sentiments with a variety of ink colors.

I wanted the card to be one layer but I later decided to put a strip of patterned paper from Simple Stories on the side.

That’s it for this card.

This card is an entry for the Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge. The theme for this week is Anything Goes.
