CELEBRATE!

photo 4

I started this card with some kraft card stock from The Paper Company making it a standard size card with the fold on top. I stamped the Magic background stamp from Hero Arts with ColorBox Chalk Ink in Chestnut Roan. Before I stamped the background, I masked a small area at the bottom for my sentiment. I stamped  the cupcake stamp from TPC on white card stock using Memento Tuxedo Black ink. I colored the image with Bic Mark It markers, cut it out and placed it at the center of the card with foam squares. For the sentiment, I used the “celebrate” stamp from the same TPC set and stamped it on the blank space I masked with ColorBox Chestnut Roan chalk ink. I finished off the card by rounding the bottom corners freehand with my scissors.

Wednesday Card Day – I (Heart) U

This is an entry for the 7 or Less Challenge #2 hosted by Marie from My Creative Creations.

7 or less Challenge 2

I (HEART) U

For this card, I used a platter of heart sugar cookies from Crazy for Cookies.  My sister made this platter for one of her orders. I really loved the colors and thought it would look great on a card.

And here is my card —

I folded a pink card stock into a standard size card and set it aside. I used white card stock and cut it into a half circle and adhered it to on side of the card. Using the leftover white card stock, I stamped the different hearts from the Hero Arts OWH Year Round Sentiments in Memento’s Bahama Blue, Grape Jelly and Rose Bud. I cut them out, arranged, and glued them on the half moon. For the sentiment, I used the block letter stamp set from The Paper Studio. I stamped the “i” and the “u” directly on to the pink card stock using Memento’s Bahama Blue and Grape Jelly respectively. For the heart, I used one of the extra pieces from the hearts I didn’t use for the half moon. To finish the card, I free-handed with my scissors to round the edges.

2. 1 sheet white card stock

4. The Paper Studio Block Letters clear stamp set

OWL I WANT IS YOU

photo 5

On pink card stock, I used the one of the Chevron backgrounds from Lawn Fawn’s Chevron backdrops set. I stamped the image using Memento Angel Pink Ink.

On white card stock, using Memento Tuxedo black ink I stamped 2 owls from the Winter Owl set and used the hearts from the same set to make a pattern for the scarves. I colored the owls in using Bic Mark It Markers. I cut a heart out from the same white card stock and colored it in with a red Bic Mark It Marker. I used the heart as an accent piece in between the owls.

For the sentiment, I decided to modify the Christmas themed Winter Owl sentiment and removed the word “Christmas”. I stamped it using Memento Tuxedo black

Since I already had 7 items and I wanted to round my corners, I free handed it using my scissors.
