Celebrate Today, and Everyday

Hi everyone! I’m here today with a new card using some Paper Smooches products.

Here is my card —

Celebrate Today and Everyday

I started this card with a Core’dinations yellow card base which I cut to a 4 1/4 x 4 1/4 card. Then I cut a piece of Neenah Solar white to 4×4 to be the front panel. For the images, I used some free digi images from the Paper Smooches blog. I colored the feathers with Copic markers (check the supply list for all the colors I used).

For the border strip, I cut the scallop punch from American Crafts on Simon Says Stamp Smoke card stock. I adhered that to the left side of the front panel. On top of the strip, I placed a bunch of feathers, which I tied with some black twine from Doodlebug, I finished the bow with a gem Hero Arts.

For the sentiment, I used the Pretty Phrases from Paper Smooches and embossed it on Black Licorice card stock from Bazzil.

To finish the card, I added some stitch lines on the setiment strip and added more gems from Hero Arts around the card.

That’s it for this card. Thank you for reading.

Love You Dearly

Hi everyone. I’m here today with a card using a rubber stamp from Stampendous and a Paper Smooches sentiment stamp.

Before we get to the card making, I just wanted to announce that I will be starting my holiday card series on November 15. Each card will have companion video to go along with it. I will also have giveaways through out the card series. I will release more details as the date gets closer. I hope you come and join the fun.

Now for this card, I wanted to make a card for a friend who is going through something and I thought the flowers and bright colors will cheer her up.

Here is my card —

Love You Dearly

I started this card with Neenah Solar White card stock cut to a standard size landscape card. For the background, I stamped the top portion of the card with the Zinnia stamp from Stampendous with Versafine Onyx Black ink and clear embossed it. For the sentiment, I stamped a sentiment from the Pretty Phrases set from Paper Smooches with the same Versafine ink and also clear embossed it for more dimension. I attached a strip of some Shallows layering paper from Hero Arts to separate the background from the sentiment area. I covered the strip with some Clear Wink of Stella glitter brush for some shine.

For the flower focal image, I stamped the Zinnia on Neenah Solar White card stock and colored it in with Copics. I will have the colors below but I wanted to use orange, blue and yellow tones on the flower. After coloring, I fussy cut the flower and colored the edges with a black marker. I adhered the flower with foam tape. To finish the card, I colored the entire flower with the Clear Wink of Stella glitter brush for sparkle and shine.

This card is an entry for the current Paper Smooches Sparks challenge theme  – ANTHING GOES.

Anything Goes PSS FINAL

This is also an entry for the Runway Inspired Challenge featuring Oscar de la Renta. Here is the fashion inspiration.

Thanks Ever So Much

Hi everyone! I’m here with a card for the Paper Smooches Sparks Challenge.

SPARKS BADGE

This week, the challenge theme is PICTURE PERFECT based on this inspiration picture.

October2014

Here is my card —

Thanks Ever So Much

I started this card with a standard size card with the fold on top using Neenah Desert Storm card stock. I adhered a panel of patterned paper from Basic Grey’s Fresh Cuts 6×6 pad. I also cut a strip of patterned paper from the same Fresh Cuts pad to adhere to the left side of the card.

For the flowers, I was looking at the free digi section of the Paper Smooches website and I fell in love with these flowers. I immediately printed them and colored them in with various colors of Copic Markers. I attached them with foam tape and accented the center with a clear gem from Hero Arts.

For the sentiment, I used the Pretty Phrases stamp set and stamped it with Versafine Onyx Black ink and clear embossed it for a raised finish.

To finish the card, I adhered some coordinating colors of sequins from Pretty Pink Posh.

Ruff Day? It’s Gonna Be Ok

Hi everyone! I’m here today with a card using techniques from Online Card Classes  – Copics for Cardmakers. I really wanted to stay updated with this class but time was really an issue and I was only able to create one card.

Here is my card —

Ruff Day

I started this card with a 5 1/2 by 4 inch panel of patterned paper from Lawn Fawn’s Hello Sunshine 6×6 paper pad. For the patterned paper quilt, I cut strips of paper from the same collection and adhered it with a quilt pattern. I am never one to use so much patterned paper, but I am slowly getting the hang of it.

For the image, I colored the dog from Critters in the Burbs with Copic markers. This class was a godsend. I would have never thought that I would be able to color with blending. The colors I used will be listed below.

For the sentiment, I created a custom sentiment using Milo’s ABC and a sentiment from the Love This set from Simon Says Stamp. I stamped the sentiment in Versafine Onyx black ink (my new fave ink) and clear embossed it for added shine.

To finish the card, I adhered the panel to some Sunshine card stock from Simon Says Stamp cut to a standard size with a fold on top. I also accented the collar and tag of the dog with some Clear Wink of Stella pen.

I am submitting this card to the Lawnscaping Challenge. The theme of this challenge is – using patterned paper.
